Three posible design routes for the jewel. I've tried to use bird and cage symbols wherever posible. Your comments please!

  1. I think the middle one would work best... beautiful as they are, I think the other two are a little too intricate.

  2. The middle is my favourite too- the most cage like and a more abstarcted wing shapes than the right hand one. Simple is always good!

  3. I'm a fan of the claw motif in the 3rd one.

  4. I'm liking the claw motif, but also prefering the middle one. Might be colour drawing me in as well mind. Now Kieran would you STOP THAT AND DO YOUR DISSERTATION DAMN YOU. :P

  5. Wow, these are beautifully finished, looks like a screenshot.
I like the middle one best too, its the least scary looking :D
This is a jewel given as a gift of love remember, not one which holds a thousand trapped souls and is used to summon dragons; you could take someones eye out with those things :b
