Exterior Geometry

The Flying Duchess engine and royal carriage.
Still missing some wheels and the drive mechanism.

  1. Looking great. Could you put the snow plow into a V?

I wonder whether we should join the components like the pipes so we can add a bevel there and make it look a little more sculpted. Sharp edges and straight lines are the bits that look cg.

I know this would be a pain, and perhaps an academic point when rendered all 2d like, but would end up with a much more satisfying 3D model to show off later. At any rate I'm certain some of these subtleties will read as the camera pans around the geometry.

Depends what you think, prop modeling is your department!

ps. Stop playing with cardboard and bring your maya work to the lab!
